ABOUT US
Oregon Tripl3 is a family oriented program that seeks to help student athletes who have
the goal of obtaining a basketball scholarship. We pride ourselves on trying to build
character and instilling confidence to each and every one of our athletes. The program
was started in 2018 and has over 35 girls on college basketball scholarship programs and has girls over the
country such as Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Utah, Wyoming, California,
Michigan, and many more.
MEET OUR DIRECTOR / head coach
: RODNEY NELSON II
Rodney Nelson II is the Director of the Oregon Tripl3 Club Team and has 8 years of coaching experience with girls and boys from all across the country. Rodney is originally from Stone Mountain, Ga where he played high school basketball and was fortunate enough to start his basketball to Paris Junior College in Texas. After a year, he transferred to
Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon where the team was runner up in 2011-2012 in the NWAC, and won the NWAC Championship the following year.
Rodney finished his career at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, and moved back home to Atlanta then was offered a job to be the assistant coach of the girls basketball team at North Salem HS in Oregon in 2017. Rodney has coached at McKay HS and Chemeketa Community college. Oregon Triple was started in 2018. The club has over 40 athletes in the program and currently has four teams and is looking to add more in the future.
“Coaching is something that I never saw myself doing but, I have completely fallen in love with the process of inspiring and developing young men and women. I feel as if the greatest accomplishment you can do in your own life is inspire someone else to achieve their dreams. Our program is family-oriented and we are going to keep it that way!”

JARMAL REID
BOYS DIRECTOR/ HEAD COACH
Jarmal Reid is the Director and Head Coach of the Oregon Tripl3 Club Team boys side and has 4 years of coaching experience with boys and girls across the country and abroad.
Jarmal is originally from Atlanta, Ga and played high school ball for Columbia High School out of Decatur, Ga. Upon graduation from Columbia, Jarmal received an athletic scholarship to play basketball at Oregon State University.
Jarmal played for the Oregon State Men’s basketball team from 2012-2016, and was apart of their 2016 team that made it to the NCAA tournament. After graduating from Oregon State University in 2016, Jarmal went on to play professional basketball internationally in Australia and Mexico. Jarmal’s first coaching experience came during his second stint in Australia and is currently coaching at Sunset High School in Beaverton, Oregon.
“Coaching is something I really enjoy doing because it’s all about the kids, wanting to give back and helping build towards the future on and off the court. The game of basketball can be used as an amazing tool to unlock limitless potential regardless if you’re playing, coaching or even spectating.”

NAIMA GANDZADI
GIRLS HEAD COACH
Naïma Gandzadi is a coach at Oregon triple for her third year. She has expereince coaching as a girl’s JVII/Freshmen coach at McDaniel High School & as a volunteer with the program for four years. She also has 5 years of expereence working as a referee, officiating for youth leagues, high school teais and college club teams.
Naima played at McDaniel (formerly Madison), graduating in 2017 & continued to play at Portland State University where I graduated in 2021 with a major in Political Science and minored in Black Studies.She continues to grow her studies finishing my final semester(Spring ‘24) at SUNY-Albany where she’ll earn an M.A. in Africana studies. She is looking forward to watching these young adults grow through the sport.

Emily Bradley
My name is Emily Bradley. This will be my first year coaching with OR3GON TRIPL3. I am also the assistant varsity coach for Thurston High School. The 2023-2024 season was my first season coaching and look forward to expanding my experience. I played varsity for Thurston, graduating in 2021. I played for OR3GON TRIPL3 during spring-fall of 2020. After graduating, I continued my education at Lane Community College where I attained my associate degree in social sciences in 2023. I plan to further my education in the 2024 Fall Term towards becoming a counselor. I will be returning to the Thurston coaching staff for the 2024-2025 season.
